Types of Massages
Swedish massage
Swedish massage helps reduce pain (e.g., stress-related headaches), speeds up recovery after injuries, prevents muscle atrophy from disuse, alleviates insomnia, and increases alertness. Most importantly, it promotes relaxation and reduces the effects of stress.
This treatment is one of the best-known massages, as it covers the entire body and focuses on massaging muscles, tendons, and joints. It supports proper movement function and relaxes tense, cramped muscles.
Sports massage
This is a comprehensive massage program that combines Swedish massage with techniques to relax and stretch muscles and tendons, and mobilize joints. The techniques used during the therapy are often intense, but not painful.
The treatment focuses on repositioning joints and vertebrae that are fixed in poor alignment and stretching shortened, tense muscles. After the session, you may experience mild discomfort for 1–3 days, but the initial complaints and severe pain are often alleviated even after the first treatment.
